The City of Virginia Beach is accepting sealed proposals from qualified individuals and/or organizations that can provide recording and maintaining a database of water account holders, associated backflow device data, and recurring test results. The Contractor will perform site inspections on sites where DPU has identified potential cross connections and possible need for backflow prevention. The contractor will perform site surveys according to a rotating schedule provided by DPU to verify existing information and look for un-protected cross-connections. At the direction of the DPU, the Contractor will perform annual compliance testing on identified backflow prevention devices. The Contractor will provide information periodically to DPU on forms and in reports in formats (Microsoft Word, PDF, MS Access) supplied by DPU. All of the Contractor's work shall comply with applicable Local, State, Federal, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Health Department (HD) regulations. The deadline for questions will be July 28th. All the information should be found electronically 1 year with 4, one-year renewals.
