The project consists of the application of new airfield markings on various airfield pavements. The project will be bid as follows: Base Bid: Pavement markings on Taxiways A, B, E, and G. Add On No. 1: Pavement markings on Taxiway D. Add On No. 2: Pavement markings on Runway 9-27 Bidders following the above procedure will be sent a link to a file sharing website where PDF versions of the Contract Documents may be obtained. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total maximum proposal price (combination of base bid or alternate bid plus add-on items) for the contract in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Preparation of Proposal. This Contract does not allow for price escalation in unit bid items. The Contractor shall take this into consideration when preparing unit prices for bidding. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total maximum proposal price (combination of base bid or alternate bid plus add-on items) for the contract in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Preparation of Proposal. After award, the low bidder shall be prepared to hold bid prices for anticipated start of construction expected as late as July 2024, weather dependent. The execution of the construction Contract is dependent upon the receipt of an FAA grant offer and is expected no earlier than October 2023. This Contract does not allow for price escalation in unit bid items. The Contractor shall take this into consideration when preparing unit prices for bidding. The deadline for submitting questions concerning this project is August 16, 2023 at 2:00pm. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in the proposal, and to reject any and all proposals.
