City of Wildwood will receive sealed bids for construction of Broken Oak Drive Improvements. All contractors licensed by the State of Florida are hereby invited to submit a bid on the above referenced project For more information, contact Sherri Bishop at Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. at (352) 438-3000. All work for the Project shall be constructed in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications prepared by the Engineer. Bids shall be submitted for furnishing, delivering, and installing all materials, equipment, and services including labor for the Work, which generally involves the following activities: Construction of approximately 2,060 LF of 6" PVC force main, approximately 710 LF of 12" PVC reclaim main, and all associated roadway rehabilitation, restoration, and tree removal along Broken Oak Drive Construction time to achieve Substantial Completion is 90 consecutive calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed, with an additional 30 consecutive calendar days to achieve Final Completion. Total construction duration is 120 consecutive calendar days. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of five percent (5%) of Bidders maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and in the form of a certified check, bank money order, or a Bid bond (on the form included in the Bidding Documents) issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraphs 6.01 and 6.02 of the General Conditions. Copies of the Project Manual and Drawings are available for review at the City of Wildwood City Hall or the Office of the Engineer (Issuing Office). All bids shall be prepared using the Project Manual and Drawings. Addenda will be sent via e-mail to all documented plan holders up to seventy-two (72) hours before the Bid closing time. The Owner/Engineer is not responsible for delivery of addenda to prospective bidders. The Owner will require that the Contractor furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price. All Payment and Performance Bonds shall be secured from or countersigned by an agency or surety company recognized in good standing and authorized to do business in the State of Florida.
