Pursuant to the State of Michigan, Office of the Governor, Executive Order(s) No. 2020-75 & No. 2020-103 which are in effect until June 30th, 2020: At this time, in compliance with the mentioned orders, the bid submission and opening for the aforementioned project is being modified from standard procedure as noted herein: The project scope will consist of 30,000 ft. new gym and a 6,500 ft. main street corridor addition to the existing high school. a new turf field including bleachers and press box to be installed along the west side of the existing high school. The new main street corridor will include offices , bathrooms, and facility spaces. Instructions for bid submission are: (1) Included in the Volume 1 of the Project Documents; (2) Attached to this document; or (3) Can be received by contacting Felicia Koch at felicia.koch@christmanco.com. Bids submitted late will not be accepted or considered. Any Bidder who cannot or will not submit a bid(s) as specified above shall contact Robert Spiegel by no later than 3:30 pm on Tuesday, July 31st, 2023 at Robert.Spiegel@christmanco.com or at (734) 646 9740 to make alternative arrangements. General Bid Requirements Shall Apply Bids security shall be included with all bids in the amount of 5% of the base bid. Bid security shall be: 1) a certified or cashiers check drawn upon a bank insured by an agency of the Federal government and made payable to Redford Union School District, or 2) an executed Bid Bond on ConsensusDocs form 262, AIA form A310, or a substantially similar form. The bid bond shall be executed with a surety authorized to do business in Michigan. Bid security of Bidders under consideration will be returned immediately after award of contracts by the Construction Manager. Bid security shall be forfeited to the Owner if the successful Bidder fails to enter into a contract and furnish required payment and performance bonds and insurance within 30 days after Notice of Award. The following forms, included in the Project Manual, must be completed and submitted with the bid: 1. Sworn Statement of Familial Relationship (MCL 380.1267) 2. Iran Business Relationship Affidavit (2012 PA 517) Bid(s) submitted without these completed forms may be considered non-responsive. Pre-bid inquiries shall be made in an email addressed to Felicia Koch at felicia.koch@christmanco.com. Bidders shall not have any contact with the Owner or Architect during the bid period. All questions must be in writing and sent to the following email address: felicia.koch@christmanco.com, no later than Tuesday, July 28th, 2023 at 5:00 pm. Bids shall remain valid for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid date. Contract award must be authorized by the Redford Union Board of Education. The Board of Education reserves its right to accept or reject any and all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in a bid received and to award a contract to other than a low bidder, in its sole and absolute discretion.
