All Offerors must be able to provide all supervision, manpower, materials, equipment, and supplies necessary to complete any scope of work outlined. Additionally, all work must be certified by a Licensed/registered Architect and/or Professional Engineer registered in South Carolina. Specific services to be provided may include, but are not limited to, the following types of work: o Modify schools not meeting the minimum requirements for support space Minor Additions to schools o Building modification/renovation/ new minor structural projects o Modify and update security for schools including security check-in vestibules and / or buildings. o Update labs and add STEAM labs. o Renovate older facilities that need to be modernized. o Interior and exterior modifications, upgrades, or replacements as required, including any required mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering. o Masonry / facade (panel systems, curtain walls) and parapet restorations or alterations. o Roofing repairs, restorations or replacements o Repairs or modifications to structural components, including foundation systems o Window / door replacements o Entry porticos and canopies o Lobbies and offices o Classrooms, and flex spaces o Kitchens and food service facilities o Ceiling replacements and upgrades o Upgrades to furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E), and finishes. o ADA accessibility upgrades and compliance. o OSF required upgrades and modifications. o Storage sheds and structures o Field houses o Sports and recreation canopy structures o Bleachers and press box o Miscellaneous site / civil work, Surveying, geotechnical testing, Landscape design. o Traffic studies o Modular classrooms and facilities o Included services: o Professional management (Construction Administration) throughout all phases of the project including, but not limited to, periodic progress reports/meetings, proper processing of invoices for services, o Assist the District in the leveling of bids, attend pre-bid meetings. Be responsible for the scheduling of all project meetings. Review all applications for payment from the contractor and provide a "pencil review copy" to the district for final acceptance. Prepare punch list(s) as needed at the end of the project and document their completion or corrective measures taken by the contractor. o Timely processing of project correspondence, field inspections, and investigation. o Minor grading & storm drainage analysis and Design o Roadway, Pathway and Pavement design o Site design (schools, playgrounds, athletic facilities) as well as electrical engineering associated with site designs. o Construction Plans, Details, and Technical Specifications o Evaluations, Analysis, Reports, Recommendations, Cost, Quantity and Time Estimates o All phases of permitting including but not limited to Horry County, Municipalities within the County, SCDHEC-OCRM, SCDOT, USACE, OSF, and encroachment permitting, including all submittals and coordination with agencies. o Erosion and Sediment Control Plans o Attending meetings with District staff as necessary to report project status, review field data, and make investigations and critical decisions. o Other types of professional and non-professional services of a nature consistent with the intent of this RFQ as required by the project and so directed by the district. The selected Consultant(s) shall perform the Work as may be required based upon a detailed program scope for each location as determined by the Owner. The Owner may choose to group portions of the work into a single contract assignment as may be beneficial to Horry County Schools. It is the Owner's intent to select multiple firms for this contract. Architect-engineer, construction management, or land surveying services as defined in Section 11-35-2910 and awarded pursuant to Section 11-35-3220 of the South Carolina Consolidated Procurement Code. The total scope of work to be performed as provided in the Contract Documents whether performed by one or more contractors, subcontractors or the District itself. (Also referred to as the "work," the "work to be performed" or other such terms.) The District intends to hire multiple firms to provide professional Architectural & Engineering design services as may be required for modifications and/or renovations to existing or new K-12 school sites or District properties. The right of the District to stop work on the design or construction of the Project or to adjust the Project Schedule (Attachment D) shall not give rise to a duty on the part of the District to exercise this right for the benefit of the Architect or any other individual or entity, except as may be necessary for coordination of work or as may be required by a regulatory authority.
