The City of Fitchburg invites sealed bids for the hauling of residuals from settling lagoons at the Regional Water Treatment Plan to the Fitchburg Waste Water Treatment Plant. Bidder shall not contact any City employee, agent, official, department, department head, or agent with regards to this solicitation. Doing so may lead to disqualification of the bid. Governing Procurement Law c. 30B Wage Requirements Bids will be publicly open and a bid summary posted to the City within 24 hours after the opening. This contract may be subject to Prevailing Wage requirements and if so, the vendor shall pay prevailing wage rates in accordance with the applicable wage rate schedule from DLS included with the solicitation documents. Number of Copies Required: Submit one (1) signed original bid package (forms only). Assembly of Bid Submittal Bid response shall be in single-sided format only, and not bound in any way with metal or plastic binding, or in a binder of any sort, or with multiple staples. A single staple in a top corner of the document will be accepted, if necessary Where required, bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in an amount that is not less than five percent (5%) of the value of the bid. Bid deposit shall be made payable to the City of Fitchburg and be in the form of certified check, treasurers or cashiers check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, or a bid bond issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; and shall be conditioned upon the faithful performance by the principal of the agreements contained in the bid. This solicitation is being conducted in accordance with the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30B, and any resulting contract will be strictly awarded in accordance with the requirements of the solicitation.
