This Request for Proposals (the "RFP") issued by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (the "WSIB") is an invitation to Proponents to submit a proposal to provide Surveillance Services by licensed professionals which will be utilized by WSIB Stakeholder Compliance Services as an investigative tool to confirm or negate allegations of fraud and non-compliance such as; injured persons who have failed to report a material change or provided false or misleading information to the WSIB in relation to their claim for benefits, by working while in receipt of benefits of performing activities that exceed their claimed abilities. Surveillance evidence that confirms these allegations may result in provincial offence charges laid under the Workplace Safety &Insurance Act ("WSIA"), and / or administrative action to discontinue or suspend benefits, remove barriers and return injured people to work sooner, lowering claim duration. Surveillance Services at the WSIB will be sourced through a roster of licensed private investigative firms established through this RFP. The contract entered into between the WSIB and the Successful Proponents is expected to be for a term up to two (2) years. The WSIB also expects that the contract will contain options to extend on the same terms and conditions, the particulars of which are as follows: Option to extend the term for two (2) further periods of up to one (1) year each or collectively Question Deadline 08/22/2023 04:00:00 PM
