Epoxy Flooring City of Americus Fire Department Station 2 Crawford Street Fire Station. Notice is hereby given that the City of Americus, Georgia will receive bids at the City Clerks office, 101 W. Lamar Street Americus, Georgia for the following: Epoxy Flooring for Area (1) 3,094 sq. ft. (Engine Bay and Mechanical Room) & Area (2) 4,906 sq. ft. (Office, Living Area, Classroom) for the City of Americus Fire Department Station 2 Crawford Street Fire Station. GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS: 1. Remove the existing floor finish. (Tile, Carpet, Glue, Old Coating). 2. Machine grinds the entire area to establish a proper bond profile. 3. Patch spalled areas using 100% solids Epoxy Patch materials. 4. Allow the patched areas to cure and re-grind those areas. 5. Vacuum the entire area. 6. Apply one coat of Epoxy at 250 sq. ft. per gallon. 7. Apply a second coat of Epoxy at 150 sq. ft. per gallon. 8. Allow the surface to cure for 8 hours. 9. Apply one coat of high traffic, HTS, Topcoat at 500 sq. ft. per gallon. 10. Allow the surface to cure for 12 hours. 11. Apply lines and markings for bay area. 12. Broadcast chosen flake media into the wet surface until rejection. 13. Apply one coat of UV Resistant Epoxy at 100 sq. ft. per gallon. 14. Allow surface to cure for 24 hours minimum before opening to traffic. PLACE OF RENOVATIONS The successful bidder shall EXCEPTIONS TO SPECIFICATIONS: Exceptions shall be allowed if they are equal to or superior to the intent of the specification as written and provided, they are listed and entirely explained on a separate page entitled Exceptions to Specifications. If the bidder takes an exception, on the exception page, the bidder must state an option price to bring their specifications into full compliance with the department specifications. Failure to provide the information shall cause us to reject the proposal as being non-responsive.
