These documents constitute an invitation to submit a price proposal to design and build the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge - Visitor Center Storage Building hereinafter referred to as the Storage Building. The contract documents include: The Contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, equipment, and superintendence for the work described below and within these documents. The work includes but is not limited to; project mobilization and demobilization, project management and oversight, demolition, design, and construction of items described below, quality control, cleanup, and removal of all waste generated during performance of the work. I-1 Base Bid: Visitor Center Storage Building. The FWS requires design-build services to design and construct an approximately 24'- 0" wide by 24'-0" long by 10'-0" tall, approximately 576 sf., 2 bay wood framed insulated and heated storage building with two 9'-0" wide x 8'-0" tall sectional overhead doors and one 3'-0" wide x 7'-0" tall personnel passage door. The work also includes constructing temporary erosion control measures, removing an approximately 2'-0" wide strip of asphalt, removing concrete curb and gutter, finish grading to prepare the site for construction, constructing a segmental block retaining wall, installing electrical feeders from the visitor center to the storage building in an existing underground conduit, installing a fully functioning electrical system, constructing a concrete approach apron and associated asphalt patching, seeding, and removing temporary erosion control measures. All work items that are not specifically called out are considered incidental and no direct compensation will be provided. This work shall be performed on a firm fixed price lump sum basis. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
