The Wythe County School Board is accepting bids for George Wythe H. S. Football/Track/Soccer Stadium Lights. Light poles will not be needed for this job. Please include the following information with your bid: 1. A list of at least five (5) current customers including contact names and phone numbers 2. A copy of your company's current business license. 3. Names of employees who will be performing the work including a copy of their applicator certification. 4. A copy of your company's current certificate of liability insurance in the amount of one million dollars ($1,000,000) A. Work covered by this section of the specifications shall conform to the contract documents,engineering plans as well as all state and local codes. B. The purpose of these specifications is to define the performance and design standards for Retro-fitting new LED Sports Lighting on existing steel poles at George Wythe High School Multi-Purpose Football-Soccer Track facility. The manufacturer / contractor shall supply lighting equipment to meet or exceed the standards set forth by the criteria set forth in these specifications. C. The sports lighting will be for the following areas: 1. Multi-Purpose Field Football/Soccer - 360'x165' 2. Track 3. Security lighting of same approved manufacture shall be utilized to light parking area (home side only) by concession building and pedestrian walkways (home and away) at each end of stadium. D. The primary goals of this sports lighting project are: 1. Life Cycle Cost: In order to reduce the operating budget, the approved lighting system shall be LED and be energy efficient and cost effective to operate. 2. Highest Quality Lighting: It is a goal of this project to assure the Football/Soccer Field and Track are lighted to the highest quality. All illuminance averages, minimums and uniformities must be met. 3. Guaranteed Light Levels: Selection of appropriate light levels impact the safety of the player sand the enjoyment of spectators. Therefore, the lighting system shall be designed such that the light levels specified are guaranteed for a period of 25 years. Wythe County School Board reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids. In the event that all bids exceed budgeted funds, the Wythe County School Board reserves the right to negotiate with the apparent low bidder pursuant to Section 11-53 of the Code of Virginia. In such event the Wythe County School Board shall negotiate with the apparent low bidder in an attempt to obtain a contract price with the available budgeted funds. If a contract price cannot be negotiated within budget, all bids will be rejected.
