The scope of work to be performed under this contract consists of the removal and replacement of the existing culvert; rebuilding the headwall; and rehabilitation of the road above. Work associated with this project also includes: Maintaining through traffic Maintaining downstream flows during construction Maintaining appropriate erosion control Other items or details not mentioned above that are required by any provisions herein shall be performed, constructed or installed. Bids are required for the entire Work described herein. Time is of the essence for completing required work. The time limit for the completion of all work shall be 30 working days after issuance of notification to proceed by Public Works Director or prior to the start of the rainy season on October 15th, whichever comes first. Contractor shall commence work within ten (10) days after issuance of notification to proceed by Public Works Director, as set forth in General Conditions, Legal Relations and Responsibilities Liquidated damages shall be assessed in the amount of one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500.00) for each calendar day the work remains incomplete beyond the time fixed above for completion.
