Reference Number 0000326138 The work under this contract consists of providing all necessary labor, material and equipment required to rehabilitate the concrete foundation of the existing catwalk and the surrounding hillside, which has undergone severe erosion following several storm events. The Water Street Pumping Station, located in the City of Peekskill, NY, consists of a pump house with an influent chamber, a comminutor, a pump room and an emergency generator room, as well as a 15-foot diameter standpipe-type collection tank. The catwalk is approximately 73 feet long and is supported at one end at the top of the adjacent hillside grade and at the other by the top of the collection tank. One intermediate support pier is located at the approximate midpoint of the catwalk. Additional improvements will also include the construction of a new retaining wall around the influent chamber to prevent storm water runoff from entering the influent chamber. A new cathodic protection system will also be installed for the steel storage tank to replace the existing system which is no longer functional. (Bid range - $540,000.00 to $660,000.00).
