The work involved is in one (1) contract and consists of the following generally described work: CONTRACT 22-01 WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT EXPANSION: Phase I: New 24-inch Force Main New Headworks New Splitter Box Two New Sequencing Batch Reactors (SBR) New Effluent Pumps New Sludge Digester All Associated Piping All Associated Electrical Work Site Work. Phase II: Renovation of the Existing SBR Basins Renovation of the Existing Sludge Digester All Associated Piping All Associated Electrical Work Site Work. The total allotted time for construction of Phase I is 545 days and an additional 180 days for Phase II for a total of 725 calendar days. Liquidated damages are $1,000 dollars per calendar day for either Phase I or Phase II deadlines. Payment and performance bonds required for 100 percent of the subcontract value. Contractors shall bring to this meeting the following pre-qualification information: (1) Current Tennessee contractor's license with the appropriate classification and a sufficient limit to perform the scope of work included in the subcontract; (2) Evidence that his surety company is currently listed on Treasury Department Circular 570 and will provide payment and performance bonds for 100 percent of the subcontract value by submitting a letter from said surety company stating they will provide the required bonding coverage for the subcontract; (3) Evidence that he can perform similar work in a timely manner by submitting a list of similar work completed within the past five years including the amounts of the contracts; (4) A statement that he has or does not have any pending litigation with similar projects; (5) A completed Application For Construction Prequalification (the Application For Construction Prequalification can be found in the Project Manual/Detailed Specifications). Failure to submit prequalification information by close of business the date of the Pre-Bid Meeting can result in disqualification.
