The objective of this project is for the Contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment and manpower necessary to repair the failed and failing glass skylights, caulking, glazing and flashing roofing system at Madigan Army Medical Center, Joint Base Lewis McChord, Tacoma, WA, in accordance with all Federal, State, Installation and MAMC Codes and Laws, Safety Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures and Manufacturer Requirements. Completing this repair will return the Skylight Roof to a fully functional roof in a patient care area. Estimated magnitude Between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 Question Deadline 08/14/2023 All RFIs for this RFP will be posted in the ProjNet website Required work will be to: 2.1.1 Provide floor and wall protection in all areas of work. Active floor area underneath skylights shall be cordoned off with barriers and safety signs. COR to provide ILSM. 2.1.2 Inspect entire Medical Mall Clinic glass panel roofing skylights for cracked or broken panels. Remove and replace up to eight (8) panels. Each glass panel is approximately 45' x 92". 2.1.3 Demo existing cap flashing, caulking and glazing on four hundred sixty-eight (468) glass roofing panels and peak walkway of the Madigan Medical Mall Skylight roofing system. (Locations identified on drawing in ProjNet Filer) 2.1.4 Supply and install approx. 55,000 LF of new caulking and glazing around glass panels, flashing and all roof components to ensure watertight seals. Re-install/replace flashing and ridge caps. (Glazing and caulking shall meet MAMC Standard Specifications and color) 2.1.5 Replace exterior caulk butt joints, backer rod, and aluminum joint covers. 2.1.6 Contractor is responsible to provide and adhere to proper use of their own OSHA certified fall protection systems. 2.1.7 Clean all glass panels at completion of project. 2.1.8 Contractor is responsible to keep the roof free of debris and garbage. 2.1.9 Contractor shall provide a plywood walkway around base of atrium during repairs for protection of existing roofing. 2.1.10 Contractor shall provide plywood landing zone for material drop offs. 2.1.11 Contract personnel will be required to adhere to all ICRA, ILSM and OSHA safety requirements. 2.1.12 Most work will occur after normal duty hours.
