**As of October 19,2023 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on November 2023.** The Work consists of replacement of 25 valves (14-inch, 24-inch, and 36-inch); installation of 2 new valves/actuators, replacement of 30 actuators; electrical connections; installation of seismic restraints/supports; rehabilitation of piping; pipe penetrations, couplings, filter walls, coating of structures; disinfection of facilities; and other appurtenant work. DRAWING NO. EO-3529 The Contractor shall possess a valid California Class A General Engineering Contractor license at the time the Contract is awarded. Failure to possess the specified license may render the Bid as non-responsive. Groundwater Treatment Plant shutdown scheduled to begin on March 15, 2024. The Work must be completed within three hundred thirty (330) calendar days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must scan and upload with their bid documents a certified check or bank draft payable to the Long Beach Public Utilities, drawn on a solvent bank in the United States of America, or a satisfactory bond in an amount not less than 10 percent of the Bid. The Contractor, simultaneously with the execution of the Contract, will be required to furnish a payment bond and a performance bond, each in an amount equal to one hundred (100) percent of the Contract Price. This project will be subject the prevailing wage rate, as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations for the State of California. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in a bid, and to make award to the lowest responsible bidder as it may best serve the interest of the Owner.
