The Project work shall include the following description of the work: Frontier Park Stormwater Discharge includes installation of approximately 292 linear feet of 48-inch storm sewer, 204 linear feet of 18-inch storm sewer, with structures. Bank stabilization with approximately 515 cubic yards of large (18-24 inch) stone rip-rap. Project also includes removal of existing improvements, necessary grading, and site restoration. Rose Brae Storm Pipe Repair includes removal of existing 72-inch concrete pipe with installation of approximately 30 feet of 72-inch RCP and 72-inch RCP Flared End Section. Grading of creek bank and new stilling basin with installation of MSD type 8 heavy stone revetment with fabric, as well as a 12-inch to 18-inch rock filtration berm. Project includes removal of existing improvements, stump and brush removal, necessary grading, soil haul in, and site restoration. The bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit (guaranty) for the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. The bid deposit may be in the form of a bid bond issued by an insurance company authorized to do business in the state of Missouri and with a financial strength rating of A with a financial size category of IX or better by A. M. Best, a certified check or a cashier's check drawn on a bank located in St. Charles County, the City of Saint Charles, St. Louis County, or the City of St. Louis. The bid deposit shall be forfeited to the City if the bidder does not execute a contract for the Project and provide all bonds, insurance requirements and other required documents by the date stated in the bid award. The City reserves the right to require the bidders to provide proof of the ability to properly finance and execute the Project together with a record of successful completion of similar projects. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to advertise for new bids. The City reserves the right to defer the acceptance of any bid and the execution of a contract for up to one hundred twenty (120) days after the date of bid opening. The successful bidder shall execute the Project contract and deliver all bonds and other required documents by the date stated in the bid award. The successful bidder shall furnish a performance and payment bond for one hundred (100%) percent of the contract amount and shall provide certificates of insurance and insurance policy endorsements for workers compensation, commercial general liability, auto liability, property damage and other policies of insurance as stated in the bid specifications and in the amounts stated therein for the therein stated policy periods. An additional separate guarantee performance bond in the amount of 10% of the contract amount shall be delivered at time of contract execution to guarantee satisfactory performance of the work completed for a period of two (2) years after the date of acceptance of the work. Project work shall commence for the Rose Brae Storm Pipe Repair site work within seven (7) calendar days after the date of written notice from the City to start work and shall complete all work on the Rose Brae Storm Pipe Repair site within sixty (60) calendar days after the expiration date of the seven (7) day period. Work shall commence on the Frontier Park Discharge site on or after 10/02/23 and shall complete all work (with exception for the asphalt road and chip seal surfacing) on the Frontier Park Discharge site within seventy-five (75) calendar days after 10/02/03.
