We’ve obtained documents for this project and are currently processing them.
This project will include the removal of interior walls on the third floor of Brockville Campus Blue Wing and new partitions & corridors to create an office hub and classroom. The space currently houses a number of offices and 2 large classrooms. A project currently underway is includes work on the exterior of the building including replacement of the roof, mechanical roof-top units, exterior cladding, and the addition of an elevator on the exterior of the building. That project also includes new windows in the exterior wall, to accommodate this renovation and the roof structure is also being reinforced as part of that project (from the interior) to accommodate possible future solar panels (N.I.C.) The entire ceiling (tiles) is being removed and they are asbestos containing tile and the space will have no ceiling demolition needed as part of the interior project. The work will need to take place while the floor below (ground level) is occupied, and the successful contractor will need to be experienced in this type of construction and work with minimal disruption to the students/building occupants. Coordination of work will be needed to ensure we have a separation of contractors for the exterior and interior work.
