The Geneva Park District is seeking sealed bids for the2023 Crack Fill, Sealcoat and Striping Projects in Geneva, Illinois. The scope of work includes crack filling, sealcoating and striping at multiple sites as shown and described within the construction plans and specifications. Work may start as soon as August 23, 2023 at some sites with all work concluded by October 14, 2023. Each site has specific dates for completion which are stated in the bid specifications. Contractors bidding on the projects must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in sealcoating projects. All bids must be submitted on the proposal forms included in the bid documents and accompanied by cash, a certified bank draft, or a bond from an accredited surety company payable to Geneva Park District for an amount equal to10% of the bid submitted. All contracts for work herein are subject to the provisions of all Geneva Park District regulations, and providing for the payment of Kane County's prevailing rate of wages to all related laborers, workers, and mechanics involved in the project. All bids will remain firm for 90 days after the bid opening. The Geneva Park District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bid proposals, in whole or in part, which in its judgment, will be in the best interest of the public or to waive any informalities in bidding. Only bid proposals incompliance with the provisions of the Contract Documents will be considered. No bids shall be withdrawn after the opening of the bids for a period of ninety (90) days after the bid date opening. The Geneva Park District encourages small and minority businesses and women's business firms to submit bids on the approved project and successful contract bidders to utilize small and minority businesses and women's businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
