The intent of the Request for Statement of Qualifications (RFSOQ) is to obtain proposals from and the services of qualified Engineering firms to produce detailed design, construction drawings, and specifications for the Bob Hailey Park Access Bridge Replacement project. This project entails the removal and replacement of the existing bridge that connects Bob Hailey parking lot to the Bob Hailey Baseball Complex. The design will also address bank erosion surrounding the bridge. The Bob Hailey Park is located at 8750 Farmington Blvd., Germantown, Tennessee 38139. Deadline for Written Questions: 4:00 P.M. CDT Thursday, August 10, 2023 If you have any questions concerning this Request For Qualifications, please contact Allura Spaulding, Procurement Specialist, at (901) 757-7260, FAX (901) 757-7258 or procurement@germantown-tn.gov The project will include the installation of a Contech manufactured Keystone Truss Bridge with access for small vehicles such as golf carts and ATVs. The City reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to reject any and all proposals or to cancel this RFSOQ in its entirety. All proposals must be made on the basis of an either meet or exceed the requirements contained herein. All Proposers must be able to provide professional civil and structural engineering services to design the Bob Hailey Park Access Bridge Replacement located at 8750 Farmington Blvd., Germantown, Tennessee. The scope will include a complete set of construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, bidding support, and construction administration. The City would like a rough estimate in the early stages of design development to ensure the project is starting off within budget. Another estimate will be required prior to bidding the project. There is an existing pedestrian bridge at Bob Hailey Park that connects the parking lot to the ball fields. Last November an inspection was conducted and found the bridge foundation to be damaged due to bank erosion and scour. Public Works crews installed an additional support structure as a temporary solution until the bridge can be replaced. The project will include the installation of a Contech manufactured Keystone Truss Bridge with access for small vehicles such as golf carts and ATVs. Construction plans should include, but are not limited to: A. Abutment Plan B. Alternative Pedestrian Access Route during construction C Bank Stabilization/Repair Plan
