North Cary and South Cary Water Reclamation Facilities Roof Replacement. *The value for this project is based on a financial range $500,000 to $1,000,000. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction to Bidders. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, with a corporate surety approved by the Town of Cary, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Bidders shall provide certification that performance and payment bond sureties are licensed in North Carolina. Brief project description is as follows: The Town of Cary is seeking bids for the replacement of existing low slope membrane roofing systems for two buildings (E and M) at the North Cary Water Reclamation Facility and four buildings (D, E, F, & I) at the South Cary Water Reclamation Facility. Work at D, E, & F at South Cary Water Reclamation Facility will consist removal of the existing membrane and ballast (store ballast for reinstallation) and installation of new gypsum coverboard and 90-mil EPDM roof membrane over the existing roof insulation. Replacement of sheet metal flashing and trim and drainage components will also be included. Work at I at South Cary Water Reclamation Facility will consist of removal of the existing roofing system (store ballast for reinstallation) down to the concrete roof deck and installation of a new ballasted EPDM roofing system. Replacement of roof insulation, sheet metal flashing and trim, and drainage components will also be included. Work at E & M at North Cary Water Reclamation Facility will consist of removal of the existing roofing system down to the concrete roof deck and installation of a fully adhered PVC roofing system. Replacement of roof insulation, sheet metal flashing and trim, and drainage components will also be included. The Town of Cary reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
