Work to be performed under Contract No. B278 includes furnishing all labor, materials, supplies, equipment and other facilities required by the Contract Documents for the rehabilitation of the Branch Interceptor Sewers within the City of Garfield and City of Passaic. Work includes, but not limited to, the cleaning, inspection, and rehabilitation of the PVSC Branch Interceptor Sewers and manholes within the City of Garfield and City of Passaic as well as the maintenance of sewer flows and bypass pumping equipment, maintenance of traffic control measures and traffic control officers, and the coordination with the City of Garfield, the City of Passaic, the County of Bergen, and the Owners of the Venetian. No bid will be received unless in writing on the forms furnished, and unless accompanied by bid security in the form of a bid bond, cashier's check, or a certified check made payable to the PVSC in an amount equal to 10% of the amount of the total bid, but not exceeding $20,000, executed by a Surety Company duly authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. The successful Bidder must furnish a 100 percent construction performance bond, and a 100 percent construction payment bond, a maintenance bond, and an environmental maintenance bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner. Complete instruction for preparing Bids and required bonds are included in the Bidding Documents.
