(i) decommissioning and removal of three (3) existing water tanks; Veramendi Elevated Storage Tank, West Coll Street Standpipe Tank, and Sunset Drive Standpipe Tank (ii) removal of building structures, fencing, piping, and vaults; (iii) soil remediation; (iv) site restoration; (v) storm water pollution prevention; and (vi) all other appurtenances necessary to complete the Project. loaction Veramendi Elevated Storage Tank, 2250 Loop 337, New Braunfels, Texas; West Coll Street Standpipe Tank, 1032, West Coll Street, New Braunfels, Texas; and Sunset Drive Standpipe Tank, 2836 Sunset Drive, New Braunfels, Texas. NBU has established a target commencement date for construction activities of the Project as November 15, 2023. The projected completion date is estimated to be March 14, 2024. NBU reserves the right to phase the construction of the Project or modify the schedule as needed and determined by the NBU Board or staff due to modifications in scope. NBU shall accept requests for additional information or clarification concerning this RFB on or before 5:00 PM CT, August 4th, 2023. NBU shall not answer any questions submitted after 5:00 PM CT, August 4th, 2023. Each bid must be accompanied by an approved Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the bid cost, payable to NBU without recourse, as a guarantee bidder will enter into a contract at the stated price. The successful bidder must execute 100% performance and payment bonds on the forms provided within ten (10) days after the contract has been awarded. Bids shall remain open and may be held by NBU for ninety (90) days after the Opening Deadline for full evaluation and ranking of offerors. Based on its sole discretion, NBU reserves the right to determine the propriety of any bid and may disqualify any bidder based on an incomplete, inaccurate, or noncompliant bid. The Board of Trustees of NBU reserves the right to reject any or all of the bids, to waive formalities, and to make an award to an offeror as outlined in this RFB. Bidders will be notified in writing of any determinations made by NBU or its Board of Trustees pursuant to this Section.
