Westchester County Department of Planning (WCDP) under its Landlord Tenant Assistance Program (LTAP) will accept proposals for General Home Improvement and Rehabilitation to a Two-Family Building. WCDP is looking to engage an experienced contractor with a minimum of 10 years' experience in the determined scope of work. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment necessary to repair porch. Property Address: 119 South 14th Ave, Mt Vernon, NY 10550. Base Bid: Exterior front porch work: 1) Porch column, & pier rebuild (right side) with Footing 2) Repointing of two remaining piers (2) 3) Supply & Installing HB&G matching columns, caps & bases 4) Prime & painting Columns & Existing porch railings All bids shall be signed & dated in ink in the space provided as follows: A person having such legal authority from said firm, partnership or corporation must sign bids and the person signing the bid shall provide their name and title, in addition to the name and address of the firm, partnership or corporation. The County will select the lowest qualified bid and prepare a Contract to be executed by all parties. Work is expected to start two (2) weeks after contracts are fully executed. The County of Westchester reserves the right to reject any or all proposals to accept any bid, to omit any item or items or to waive any informality in a proposal, as deemed advisable in the interest of the County. The County also reserves the right to award the contract completely or in part. The County may reject a proposal in which any unit bid price, which in its judgment appears to be unrealistic or out of the norm with known costs or other unit prices in the proposal. All alternate prices shall remain valid for the contract period and the County of Westchester may elect to accept or reject any item. Bids will not be accepted from firms that have pleaded guilty to or, otherwise, been convicted of bid rigging or related criminal charges. Bids will not be accepted from firms, which include a principal, or an officer who has pleaded guilty to or, otherwise been convicted of a bid rigging or related criminal charges. The County may reject any proposal where there is substantial evidence that the bidder has performed previous County work in willful contravention of the terms and conditions of the specifications and contract. Has delayed such work unnecessarily, and who has by neglect or indifference performed work to cause numerous complaints from and annoyance to property owners within the vicinity of such work. The Bidder, to whom the contract is awarded, must be prepared to start work within fifteen (15) days or as directed by the County after signing the contract. The limits of all scheduled work shall be specified by the County in advance to performing any work. The hours of operation shall match those of the County offices unless permission is granted to the Contractor in writing. All work shall be incompliance with all applicable ordinances adopted by the respective municipality. Once the selected Contractor has mobilized to the site and has begun work, it is Expected that the work will continue until completion, weather and temperature permitting.
