The S James Street and SE 11th Street Improvements project includes reconstruction of S James Street from approximately 950 feet north of 19th Street to just south of SE 2nd Street and construction of SE 11th Street from approximately 900 feet east of S James Street to approximately 500 feet west of S James Street. The project also consists of earthwork, two RCB culverts, PCC sidewalk pavement, water main, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, new traffic signalization, and other associated work generally located between SE 19th Street and SE 1st Street. The improvements include construction of approximately 50,700 CY of earthwork, 6,500 LF of RCP storm sewer between 15-inch diameter and 54-inch diameter, 65 storm sewer structures, 380 LF of 8-inch diameter sanitary sewer, 1 sanitary manhole, 1,750 LF of 8-inch water main, 3,900 LF of 16-inch water main, 238 LF of precast 8'x4' RCB culvert with precast headwalls, 249 LF of cast-in-place Twin 8'x4' RCB culvert with cast-in-place headwalls, 950 SY of 7-inch PCC pavement, 28,110 SY of 9-inch PCC pavement, 6,780 SY of PCC sidewalk and trail, 3,190 SY of PCC driveways, 4,230 LF of 2-in HDPE conduit, 4,950 LF of fiber optic removal and reinstallation, traffic signalization, subgrade preparation, modified subbase, subdrain, pavement removal, traffic control, pavement markings, erosion control, and miscellaneous associated work necessary to complete the project. Should the Contractor fail to substantially complete the work within the designated timeframes and dates, liquidated damages of One Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500.00) per calendar day will be assessed for work not substantially completed within the designated Contract term(s).
