The City of Surrey (the City) manages a citywide Seasonal Light Program. The Contractor will be regularly engaged with providing seasonal light installation/removal and maintenance services for the City (the Service). The seasonal light program includes: (a) Street-pole mounted features and string lights; (b) String lights on street trees; (c) String lights and features in City parks. The City reserves the right upon consultation with the Contractor, to establish or change the days of Service, hours of Service, plans, locations of light features and string lights or other methods of Service delivery. The City will make all decisions to any question which may arise as to the quality or acceptability of work performed, as to the manner of performance and rate of progress of the work and all questions which arise as to the interpretation of the specifications. The Contractor is to be available at all reasonable times to report and confer with City staff with respect to seasonal light Service. The Contractor will designate an individual to serve as the primary point of contact for the Service. Contractor, or designate should respond to City Service requests within two (2) business days. In the event of a problem or potential problem that could impact the quality or level of Service, the Contractor is to notify the City within one (1) business day. All Services performed by the Contractor and their personnel are to be done to the satisfaction of the City. All seasonal light feature locations have required electrical receptacles installed. In limited cases due to changing street pole assets or other damage, some installation of electric receptacles, fuses, and other preparation work and maintenance may be required. All inquiries related to this RFQ should be directed in writing to purchasing@surrey.ca
