Oil Tank and Boiler Removal including asbestos. Project Scope To provide 40 hr OSHA trained personnel to clean, gas free, excavate and load out (1) one 1000 gallon AST from the West 6th St firehouse. The tank contents are believed to be fuel oil. The bulk liquids and remaining sludge contents are to be drummed then removed and disposed of at a licensed facility. All drummed up material will be removed off site after completion of profiling. Contractor will: Obtain the UST removal permits from the Lowell Fire Department Take necessary steps to begin freeing of gas with proper ventilation procedures in accordance with MA DEP. Any venting of gas will be done as to vent outside away from any intake ports. Remove all pumpable contents and tank bottoms. All liquids will be removed via drum vacuum and placed into DOT approved drums for offsite disposal after appropriate waste material profiling has been completed. Gas Free the tanks for removal from site. Use a 4-gas meter to monitor the Gas Free condition of the tank Prepare the tank for fire department inspection Transport and dispose of AST's and associated piping at a licensed tank yard. Perform all work co conform to all local, state, and federal fire codes Provide a site closure report prior to payment. A breakdown of pricing to include at minimum: Tank removal 1000 gallon AST Labor, equipment, and materials, tank permit, and MA DEP generator number. The disposal of oily solids, oily liquids, profile fee, manifest disposal fee, any related tank fees and the transportation and off loading costs.
