Project Description: There are many areas around campus that need the concrete and asphalt to be removed and replaced. Near the farm on the north end of campus will need some asphalt pavement. Sawcut existing asphalt. Remove existing asphalt pavement. Sawcut and remove existing concrete. Remove existing road base to 11" below finish grades. Remove existing subgrade / natural grade to 11" below finish grades. Remove and dispose of existing fill materials in trench to 11" below finish grades. Sawcut and remove existing curb and gutter. Sawcut and remove existing curb wall. Remove and dispose of existing waterway. Remove existing concrete apron at catch basin. Sawcut and remove existing concrete sidewalk. Remove and dispose of existing storm drain box and pipe. Remove and dispose of existing manhole lid and frame. Remove and dispose of existing asphalt on top of existing vault. Remove existing trees and grind down stump. Remove existing sod and grade down 3" below finish grades in landscaping areas to remain. Remove existing sod for new asphalt pavement. Remove existing sprinkler system in areas of new asphalt pavement and landscape island. Remove, store, and reinstall existing wheel stop. Blackout existing parking stall striping. Over excavate an additional 12" of soft subgrade and fill with pit-run material. Provide and install stabilization fabric. Adjust elevation of existing manhole lid and install concrete apron. Adjust elevation of existing utility boxes and install concrete apron; Install traffic rated box as required. Sawcut top of existing catch basins to install concrete apron with new grate and frame. Provide and install concrete sidewalk. Provide and install truncated domes for accessible ramps. Provide and install new curb & gutter. Provide and install new 6" curb wall. Provide and install new 8" curb wall. Provide and install concrete strip along edge of new asphalt. Provide and install new 2'-0" wide concrete waterway. Provide and install new 3'-0" wide concrete waterway. Provide and install 6" thick concrete pads with 5" aggregate base and #4 bars at 18" o.c. Provide and install 4'x4' concrete pads with 5" aggregate base at man doors. Provide and install new low profile manhole lid and concrete ring. Install tack coat over top of existing vault and install asphalt pavement. Install 8" road base. Install 3" asphalt. Install additional road base to transition to existing grade flush with concrete strip or edge of asphalt. Pothole repair work. Install 4" wide parking stall striping. Install painted ADA symbol and no parking striping. Restripe crosswalk striping and stop sign street lettering. Reinstall existing wheel stop. Provide and install new wheel stops. Flush system and clean-out debris from existing and new storm drain catch basins. Provide and install min. 5" topsoil and new sod. Remove vegetation, grade to install detention area and distribute native seed. Provide and install weed barrier. Provide and install "Perma Bark". Modify existing irrigation systems. General Conditions. Project mobilization. Erosion control, sweep, and dust control. Construction survey and staking. Traffic control and pedestrian safety.
