August 8, 2023 3:00 p.m. Last Day to Submit Written Questions for Clarification to the Department The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is inviting bids to Construct Water Tanks and Plant at the Ferguson Unit in Midway, Texas. This project consists of the construction of two (2) new 150,000-gallon potable water storage tanks and one (1) new water plant. Work includes new foundations, cathodic protection, all new piping, and valves. Construct a new 1.5 MGD potable water plant, a gas separator, chlorination equipment, service pumps, new slab on grade for service pumps, new SCADA system for all new and existing equipment (wells, service pumps and tank level indicators), new pipes and valves, as-builts and O&Ms, drive in site development with lighting, security fencing & signage, new electrical service, demo existing water system upon completion of new system. All work shall be performed as shown in the construction plans prepared by Jacobs Engineering Group. Construct two (2) new 150,000-gallon potable water storage tanks and one (1) new 1.5 MGD potable water plant. To include new foundations, cathodic protection, all new piping and valves per engineer specifications. Contractor must provide evidence that demonstrates the contractor is qualified to satisfactorily perform the specified work and must have worked in this trade for at least five (5) years. The contractor shall submit written evidence to include a minimum of three (3) projects completed within the last ten (10) years of similar work, size and complexity to include the owner's name, telephone number, location, type of facility, construction cost and the date of completion with all bid proposals. Contractor must be bondable and insurable at the levels required. All bid proposals must be accompanied by a Bid Deposit in the amount of 5% of greatest amount bid. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract amount will be required upon award of a contract. The TDCJ reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any informality or irregularity.
