Proposals shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the proposal. Proposals shall be effective for 90 days from the date of opening. The successful low bidder will be required to provide a 100% performance bond or certified check, a 100% payment bond or certified check. Project is to be substantially completed by December 31, 2023. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $200.00 per calendar day at the discretion of the Board of Supervisors. The project includes the construction of a public works storage building with separate contracts for general construction, Electrical, Plumbing, and Mechanical. The building site will be prepared by others. Contract award will be considered on August 16, 2023 at the Board of Supervisors meeting beginning at 7:00 PM at the Township Building. All work must comply with the National Electrical Code NFPA-70. All electrical circuits to be wired with MC cable or in EMT conduit. All lighting, receptacle, and switch boxes to be metal. The existing exterior feeder panel on the exterior of the smallsaltshed isto be removed. The existing feeder circuit to the large salt shed run from this exterior feeder panel is to be connected to a new feeder panel inside the building. Conductorsfrom the large saltshed may be extended and spliced in an interior accessible junction box. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings are not required to be signed and sealed by a Pa licensed engineer Amity Township reserves the right to waive any non-material defects or irregularities in the bid, and to reject any or all bids or portions thereof.
