Inyo County Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, 224 North Edwards Street (mailing address: P.O. Box N), Independence, California 93526 . Inyo County Public Works is seeking bids for the HSIP Onion Valley Guardrail Project. This project entails the removal and replacement of 18 guardrail segments along Onion Valley Road. west of Independence, California. Each Bid must be submitted on the Bid Proposal Forms furnished as a part of the Bid Package. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Proposal Guarantee in the amount and form described in the Bid Package, in an amount not less than 10% of the amount of the bid, made payable to the order of the County of Inyo. The check or bond shall be given as security that the bidder will enter into the Contract with the County and furnish the required Faithful Performance Bond, Labor and Materials Payment Bond, Certificates and/or original endorsements of insurance, or other required documents. The check or bond may be retained by the County for sixty (60) days or until the Contract is fully executed by the successful bidder and the County, whichever first occurs. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond on the forms provided in the Bid Package and in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount. Inyo County reserves the right at any stage of these proceedings to reject any or waive any immaterial defect in any bid if it is deemed to be in best interest of the county.
