This Project is located at 9600 W. Bay Harbor Drive in the Town of Bay Harbor Islands. The work includes, but is not limited to, Remove and dispose approximately (75) linear feet of existing seawall cap and Installing approximately (75) linear feet of concrete seawall - concrete piles, wall panels and seawall cap Possession of a General Contractor Licensed in the State of Florida is required for this Project. It will be the sole responsibility of the bidder to inspect the Citys location and become familiar with the scope of the Citys requirements and systems before submitting a proposal. No variation in price or conditions shall be permitted based upon a claim of ignorance. Submission of a proposal will be considered evidence that the proposer has familiarized himself with the nature and extent of the work, equipment, materials, and labor required. However, it will be the sole responsibility of the bidder to inspect the Citys location(s)/facilities and become familiar with the scope of the Citys requirements and systems before submitting a proposal. No variation in price or conditions shall be permitted based upon a claim of ignorance. Submission of a proposal will be considered evidence that the proposer has familiarized himself with the nature and extent of the work, equipment, materials, and labor required. :A certified check, cashiers check, bank officers check or bid bond for FIVE percent (5%) of the bid amount, made payable to the Town of Bay Harbor Islands, Florida, shall accompany each offer. Bid Bonds: Bidders can submit bid bonds for projects in two different ways. 1) Bidders can hand deliver their bid bond in a sealed envelope to the Finance Department, Procurement 9665 Bay Harbor Terrace, Town of Bay Harbor Islands, Florida 33154, before time of bid opening, with the company name, bid number and title clearly indicated on the envelope. 2) Bidders can mail their bid bond to the Finance Department, Procurement Services, 9665 Bay Harbor Terrace, Town of Bay Harbor Islands, Florida 33154, before time of bid opening, with the company name, bid number and title clearly indicated on the envelope. NOTE: Bond must be received at the time stamped before bid opening. It will be the sole responsibility of the bidder to ensure that his bid is submitted before the bid opening date and time listed. These forms of securities, as well as hard copy bid bonds, must be received on or before the Invitation to Bid (ITB) opening date and time, at the Town Clerks Office, 9665 Bay Harbor Terrace, Bay Harbor Islands, Florida 33154, with the bid number and title clearly indicated on the envelope. It is the bidders sole responsibility to ensure that the Town Clerks Office receives his bid bond or other bid security before the time of bid opening. Failure to adhere to this requirement may be grounds to consider the bid non-responsive. The Town of Bay Harbor Islands reserves the right to waive any informality in any or all bids and to reject any or all bids. Any or all proposals will be rejected, if there is reason to believe that collusion exists among bidders. A proposal will be considered irregular and may be rejected, if it shows serious omissions, alterations in form, additions not called for, conditions or unauthorized alternates, or irregularities of any kind.
