To furnish all labor, tools, equipment, and materials necessary to install a new NFPA 13 sprinkler system in a forty-five by forty-nine (45 x 49) foot dormitory and a forty-five by thirty-two (45 x 32) foot recreational area. Work shall be completed within all guidelines and specifications of an NFPA 13 sprinkler system. A site visit will be required prior to work beginning. The Housing Unit has a wall height of eleven (11) feet, six (6) inches with a peak of ridge at seventeen (17) feet Before any work is to take place, Contractor shall submit the plans to the Fire Marshal for approval. New sprinkler system will need to be connected to existing water system. According to code, the main housing unit as well as the Insulated Shed (Rec. Area) will need the installation of the new NFPA 13 Sprinkler System. Contractor shall contact Fire & Safety Officer, Major Dustin Deshotel ( 318-876-4203) and/or Maintenance Manager James Desjardine at (318) 359-2891 to schedule site visit as well as for scheduling installation of new sprinkler system. Before entering agency grounds to commence work, Contractor must check in with the maintenance department secretary, Ms. Danielle Nicholson, each day before commencing work. Work hours are to be 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, unless approved by the Maintenance Manager James Desjardine. For any bid submitted in the amount of $50,000 or more, a bid security (insurance company, bank money order, certified check, or cashier's check) must be included with the bidder's submission in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount bid (including base bid and additive alternates, if any) and shall become the property of the agency in the event the contract and bond are not executed within the time set forth in the bid solicitation.
