Question Deadline 08/19/2024 at 2:00 PM PT The work to be performed under this contract consists of the following major items of work as listed below and as further described in the solicitation documents: • Replacement of all HDPE piping serving pumps with CPVC SCH 80 material • All valve materials to be replaced with CPVC SCH 80 material • Replace pipe mounting bracket with FRP • Install FRP piping supports, SS brackets, anchors, accessories for five pumps • Replace twenty-one (21) diaphragm valves • Demo unused piping and remove from site • Relocate carrier water piping for chemical feed line • Replace five (5) diaphragm seals for pressure gauges • Replace five (5) Frank V186 Pressure retaining valves • Add Y-filters to suction side of five (5) pumps; modify and replacing tubing and connections • Relocate gauges within pump room per City requirements he work is “public works” as defined by law. The general prevailing rates of per diem wages and the general prevailing rates for regular (straight) time, holiday, and overtime work in San Mateo County for each craft, classification, and type of worker needed to execute the Contract shall be as set forth in the current General Prevailing Wage Determinations made by the Director of Industrial Relations pursuant to California Labour Code Part 7, Chapter 1, Article 2, Sections 1770, 1773, and 1773.1 and any amendments thereof. The current General Prevailing Wage Determinations are incorporated into the Contract, and are available at the California Department of Industrial Relations. The Millbrae City Council reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, alternate bids, or unit prices and/or waive any irregularities in any bid received. The City also reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bidding procedures. All bidders shall be notified of the award. A certified check or corporate surety bond of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid for the total cost of the project must accompany each proposal. Bidders’ attention is directed to the Special Provisions of the Contract Documents which require the Contractor, to whom the contract for the work is awarded, to file with the City Clerk at the time of executing said contract, a Payment Bond and Performance Bond, in the amount of 100% of the contract amount, meeting all requirements of said Contract Documents and approved by the City Attorney.
