Power Generation and Distribution Machinery and Accessories The project consists of managing the removal and replacement of the existing generator and associated equipment necessary to install a new operational generator system capable of providing the CCDC full operation in the event of primary power failure. The CCDC will need to have minimal disruption to primary power and backup generator service. All written questions shall be received on or before Wednesday, July 26, 2023 by 2:30 p.m. (Local Prevailing Time). Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond for five percent (5%) of the bid price. A certified check for five percent (5%) of the bid price, payable to the Calvert County Treasurer shall be accepted in lieu of a Bid Bond. Bids submitted without a Bid Bond or certified check shall not be considered. The Contractor shall be required to post Security for both a Labor and Material Bond (Payment)and a Performance Bond for this Contract in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract value each posted to Calvert County Government in accordance with this ITB. The Contractor shall be responsible for hiring the Architect/Engineer for the completion of the Preconstruction Phase and the Construction Phase. During the life of this Contact, the hired Architect/Engineer shall procure and maintain professional liability insurance coverage in the amount of one million ($1,000,000.00) dollars, with a minimum coverage of one million ($1,000,000.00) dollars per occurrence and one million ($1,000,000.00) dollars aggregate. The Board of County Commissioners of Calvert County, Maryland, noted hereinafter as Calvert County Government (or the officially authorized official), reserves the right to reject bids improperly labeled. The right is hereby reserved to reject any or all proposals, and to waive informalities, as the interest of Calvert County Government may require.
