Through this Request for Proposals (RFP), the Township of South Orange Village (Village) seeks to engage a qualified vendor to perform video inspections, remove debris and roots as found, and provide corresponding inspection reports. The bidder will be allowed 15 calendar days for the Base Bid and 15 calendar days for the Alternate Bid if awarded from the Notice to proceed to complete the project. The Village reserves the right to impose damages in the amount of $250.00 per day for each day beyond the time of completion that the work is not substantially complete. The Village also reserves the right to charge the bidder for the cost of additional inspection and engineering associated with any approved or unapproved time extensions. Bidders shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price, but not in excess of $20,000, payable to the Village. The awarded Bidder shall simultaneously with the delivery of the executed Contract, submit an executed bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the acceptable Bid as security for the faithful performance of this Contract ("Performance Bond"). The awarded Bidder shall with the delivery of the Performance Bond submit an executed payment bond to guarantee payment to laborers and suppliers for the labor and material used in the Work performed under the Contract ("Payment Bond"). The Township of South Orange Village reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bid received, and to reject any and/or all bids as in its judgment may best serve the interest of the Village. The Village shall have a maximum of sixty (60) days from the receipt of bids to either accept or reject them.
