The qualification documentation listed in Article 3 in the Instructions to Bidders must be submitted with the bid. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the above-specified date for receiving, opening, and reading of bids, except as specifically may be provided by law. The project includes the dewatering and cleaning of digester #1, demolition of piping, steel walls, concrete, etc. within the digester, removal of the catwalk system, local electrical control panel disconnection and isolation, supply and installation of a new air distribution system, reuse of existing diffusers, supply and installation of a new decanting system, supply and installation of a new submersible, shredder sump pump with discharge piping, supply and installation of a control panel for the submersible, shredder pump including reconnection to the existing 230-volt power. The Borough of Bally, Berks County, reserves the right to waive any informalities in, or to reject any or all bids, and to delete any item or portion of an item without affecting the bids on the remaining items or portion of items. All Contracts exceeding $10,000.00 shall be performed in compliance with Executive Order 11246, entitled, "Equal Employment Opportunity," as amended by Executive Order 11375 and as supplemented in Department of Labor regulations (41 CFR Part 60). In addition, all Contractors shall comply with the "Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment Clause" as required by Pennsylvania Executive Order 2016-05.
