The City of Madison Water Utility ("City") is soliciting Bids from qualified vendors for Tank Inspection, Reporting, and Cleaning. Vendors submitting Bids ("Bidders") are required to read this Request for Bids ("RFB") in its entirety and follow the instructions contained herein. Questions Due Date: Tuesday, August 8, 2023 Answers Posted Date: Thursday, August 10, 2023 Madison Water Utility is seeking a contractor to perform tank inspection and cleaning services. The selected vendor will be required to: 1) Inspect tank based on pre-established guidelines by the Wisconsin DNR. 2) Complete DNR report. 3) Clean any necessary debris found in the tank. The tanks should be inspected, cleaned, and report completed by October 31, 2023. The hours to do the diving are Monday through Friday 7:00am - 7:00pm. The winning vendor will be required to have all necessary licenses to perform work listed in this RFB. Please see each tanks location and capacity: 1) UW 9 4724 Spaanem Ave Madison, WI 53716 3 million gallons Elevated steel reservoir Approximately 100 feet tall 2) UW 31 4901 Tradewinds Parkway Madison, WI 53718 1.5 million gallons Wire wound cement elevated tank Approximately 50 feet tall 3) Tank 113 1314 Lakeview Ave Madison, WI 1 million gallons Steel welded on grade Approximately 65 feet tall 4) Tower 313 1314 Lakeview Ave Madison, WI 300,000 gallon tower Steel welded hydropillar Approximately 120 feet tall Note: Tank 113 and Tower 313 are both located as one unit with a 40 foot gap in between the two. They are connected as one structure. 5) Tower 228 10451 West Old Sauk Road Middleton, WI 53562 1 million gallons Composite tower with steel tank Approximately 110 feet tall The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids submitted, in whole or in part, and to waive any informalities or technicalities, which at the City's discretion is determined to be in the best interests of the City. Further, the City makes no representations that a contract will be awarded to any Bidder responding to this request. The City expressly reserves the right to reject any and all Bids responding to this invitation without indicating any reasons for such rejection(s). The City reserves the right to postpone due dates and openings for its own convenience and to withdraw this solicitation at any time without prior notice. Bidders may, without prejudice, withdraw Bids submitted prior to the date and time specified for receipt of Bids by requesting such withdrawal before the due time and date of the submission of Bids. After the due date of submission of Bids, no Bids may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days or as otherwise specified or provided by law.
