This is a Request for Quote (RFQ). The government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract resulting from this solicitation. This RFQ is set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). All respondents must have an active registration in the System for Award Management at www.sam.gov. Interested SDVOSB must be listed as certified on the Veteran Small Business Certification (VetCert) located at Veteran Small Business Certification (sba.gov) in order to receive contract awards under the Veterans First Contracting Program. Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 17, is soliciting offers for: Weed Abatement services for the Central Texas VA Health Care System in accordance with the Statement of Work. Proposed PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Base year only: 09/01/23 to 08/31/24. Offeror shall submit offers directly via email to Jose Campa, Contract Specialist, at Jose.Campa@va.gov. Subject line of e-mail shall be Quote 36C25723Q1182 - CTX Solar Field Weed Abatement by Due Date/Time specified in Block 8 of the Standard Form (SF) 1449 of the solicitation. RFQ Questions Cut-Off Date/Time: 08-03-2023 @ 3:00PM/CDT 1) Mow all areas within the solar farm fence line down to below 1" but not taller than 1.5" 2) Remove by pulling/killing all weeds within and around the solar panels with herbicides and maintaining weed free solar field. 3) The weed removal/abatement shall be bi-monthly to sustain non-weed growth within the solar field. 4) Preemergent and post-emergent state of Texas approved herbicides shall be applied to abate weed growth in accordance with the schedule in the table below. 5) The contractor shall mow lawn areas, edge and weed eat all walks, curbs and drives around the solar field removing all grasses, weeds and debris off site. 6) The contractor shall wash and clean all dirty solar panels within the solar fam once a year. 7) Caution shall be taken to avoid stepping on the solar panels by the contractor's employees, as the contractor shall be responsible for replacing any damaged panel.
