The project facilitates the removal of solids accumulated in the bottom of the stormwater pond located on Terminal 4 at the Port of Vancouver. The project includes dewatering of residual stormwater, drying pond solids, excavating and stabilizing the solids, transportation to and disposal of excavated materials at an approved disposal facility. Work in this project is within of the security area of the Port of Vancouver requiring Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) Questions must be submitted via the Port of Vancouver Procure Ware system no later than Thursday, August 3, 2023, at 12:00 PM The Port of Vancouver in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid after the hour set for the opening thereof, unless the award of contract is delayed for a period exceeding sixty (60) days. If it is determined to be in the best interests of the Port, the Port reserves the right to request an extension of bid prices during the review process.
