Project Description: This will be a Construction Manager at Risk Project pursuant to ARS Section 34-601 et seq. A general description of the Project is: A water transmission main serving Zone 2 is installed from the North Water Treatment Plant (NWTP) located at Guadalupe Road and Higley Road to the to the Santan Vista Water Treatment Plant (SVWTP) located on Ocotillo Road east of Higley Road. This infrastructure was installed between 1998 and 2008 and is primarily AWWA C303 bar-wrapped concrete cylinder pipe with a small segment of AWWA C151 ductile iron pipe within the Loop 202 freeway crossing. The alignment consists of approximately 8.60 miles of 30" and 0.80 miles of 36". This alignment exists primarily within the paved surface of Higley Road and includes crossings of the Loop 202 Freeway through ADOT R/W, crossing of UPRR R/W, crossing of Queen Creek Wash and Sonoqui Wash and numerous system connections as well as crossing of Roosevelt Water Conservation District (RWCD) facilities. This project proposes to complete a condition assessment of the pipeline while concurrently completing any needed rehabilitation/replacement of isolation valves, air release valves, drain valves, cathodic protection system and complete repairs of defects identified within the assessment effort. This assessment shall investigate the condition of the pipe and cathodic protection system, with a final deliverable being a report conveying the results of the assessment, recommended rehabilitation/replacement and future assessment projects, with cost estimates and project descriptions.
