Sealed bids for DRIVEWAY APRONS, SIDEWALK INSTALLATION, REBUILDING AND REPAIRS. The Town of Westport reserves the right to waive any defects and informality in the bidding, or in any bid to reject any or all bids for any reason whatsoever and to accept that bid deemed to be in the best interest of the town. Project Location The work included under this contract shall be conducted at various locations within the Town of Westport, along local roadways. All work shall be coordinated or scheduled so as to keep the schedule of work as continuous as possible. Any construction easements and rightof ways shall be acquired by the Town if required. Scope of Work The contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, equipment, appliances and materials as required, shown on Contract Drawings, if applicable, and described in these specifications. The principal items of Work are as follows: a. The maintenance of traffic through the work zone during all operations through the use of certified flagmen or policemen supplied by the Town as necessary. They shall coordinate the safe flow of traffic at all times and shall not be part of the construction operations. All barricades, cones, advance warning signs, and symbols necessary shall be provided by the contractor. b. Placement of processed aggregate, bituminous concrete pavement at specified thickness', bituminous curbing, and restoration where indicated respectively, along town roads and shoulders inclusive of tack coat. c. The work items described above do not define the complete list of work items required to complete the sidewalk improvements. The Contractor shall be responsible to perform all other associated work as necessary for the completion of the project.
