Louisville Water Company is requesting Bids for Project that includes sections of Cedar Street, South 15th Street, South 13th Street, West Jefferson Street, West Liberty Street, West Muhammad Ali Boulevard, 12th Street Connector, Magazine Street, South 11th Street and Central High School. The referenced project consists of the supply and install of a total of 7,500 LF of water main including supply and install 1,150 +/- linear feet of 16-inch Pressure Class 350 ductile iron water main, supply and install 965+/- linear feet of 12-inch Pressure Class 350 ductile iron water main, supply and install 3,890+/- linear feet of 8-inch Pressure Class 350 ductile iron water main, supply and install 1,495+/- linear feet of 6-inch Pressure Class 350 ductile iron water main. Also included with the project is the supply and installation of 15 fire hydrants, and the supply and transfer, renewal, relocation or discontinue of 69+/- customer services. Contractor shall supply and install all materials required for the completion of this project. This project will be wholly or partially funded by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, Coronavirus State Fiscal Recovery Fund. See Appendix A in the Supplementary Specifications for clarifications and/or requirements that shall pertain to this project. *The value for this project is based on a financial range of $2,500,000 and $3,000,000. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Questions or inquiries relating to this project must be submitted online. Bids will only be accepted from Bidders who have been prequalified by the Company in the prequalification category or categories that apply to this Bid. This Bid requires prequalification in all of the following prequalification categories: 4" - 16" PVC Water Mains, 4" - 16" Ductile Iron Water Mains, 1" and Smaller Water Services. For information about pre-qualification, contact the Buyer listed above. The Company will award the Contract to the Bidder presenting a Bid that is responsive to the Specifications, is in substantial compliance with the Contract requirements, and presents the lowest and best price for performing the Work making up the base bid and or Bid that Company determines is in the Company's best interest, which may not necessarily be the least expensive Bid. Company Small Business Equity (SBE) Program Preference and Local Preference Program applies to this bid and resultant bid award. SBE Program Preference shall apply first. Pre-qualified Minority/Women Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit Bids, and no Bidder will be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age (over 40), national origin, protected veteran status, or physical or mental disability which, with or without reasonable accommodation, does not prevent the performance of essential job functions.
