The project consists of the removal and replacement of a metal roof system (approx. 25510 sq. ft.) at the Singleton Maintenance Building. A certified or cashier's check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% shall be submitted with each proposal. If this contract involves the construction, reconstruction, demolition, painting, or major repair of any facility of the City, Bidder shall provide a ten (10) hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) construction safety program for their on-site employees within 60 Days of award of the contract. Failure to provide training and maintain documentation of the training, may result in penalties under RSMO 292.675 Missouri Department of Labor Standards regarding payment of Prevailing Wage Rates shall be followed for all projects. Should a project bid be less than $75,000, Prevailing Wage Rates shall not be required. Any bid over $75,000 (including Add Alternates) shall meet the Prevailing Wage Rates set forth by the annual wage order, in effect at the time of the advertisement. The City of Mexico hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award. The contract, if awarded, will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder complying with the Conditions of the Contract Documents within the Owner's budget. The Bidder to whom the awards are made will be notified at the earliest possible date. The Owner; however, reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any informality in Bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in their interest. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to the Public Works Department. Questions received less than 3 days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect Question Deadline 08/04/2023
