Description of Work. The proposed construction consists of removing, dewatering, and disposing of lake sediment at the mouth of the Southwick Creek, and other miscellaneous items of work. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's bond, certified check, bank cashier's check or bank draft payable to the Village of Williams Bay for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid as provided in the Bidder Instructions. Rejection of Bids. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive technicalities. Unless the Bids are rejected for good cause, award of contract shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder. Direct all questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents to Engineer (Telephone 815-444-3349, or email dsnyder@baxterwoodman.com). Interpretations or arifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addendum emailed by the Engineer or the Engineer's designated independent distributor, to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than five (5) business days prior to the Bid Opening, might not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addendum will be binding.
