The bid opening date and time has been moved to Wednesday, October 18,2023 at 10:00 AM. The project is for the expansion of the Sanford Water Filtration Facility from 12 to 30 MGD. The expanded Facility will serve the City of Sanford, Chatham County, the Town of Fuquay-Varina, the Town of Holly Springs, and the Town of Pittsboro. The Work consists of the following for each Contract: Contract 4: GAC Facility GAC facility to include ten (10) post-filter GAC contactors, an electrical room, and an intermediate pump station with four (4) 125-HP vertical turbine feed pumps Instrumentation and controls system upgrades associated with this work Mayor and City Council of the City of Sanford, North Carolina, herein referred to as Owner, will bid each of the Sanford Water Filtration Facility 30-MGD Expansion Project Contracts (1 - 4), as a Single Prime Contract only. Multiple Prime bids will not be accepted. The contracted bidder shall comply with federal AIS and Davis Bacon requirements throughout the project. The Owner reserves the right to reject any Bid for failure to comply with all requirements of this Notice or of any of the Contract Documents; however, it may waive any minor defects or informalities at its discretion. The Owner further reserves the rights to reject any and all Bids and to Award the contract that in its judgment is in the best interest of the Owner. City of Sanford No Bid shall be considered or accepted unless at the time of its filing the same shall be accompanied by a deposit with the City of Sanford of cash, or a cashier's check or a certified check drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 120 days after the date of Bid opening. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. A separate performance bond and payment bond each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price will be required. Carriers must be authorized to do business in North Carolina. Bidders must conform with the provisions of the North Carolina Contractor's Licensing Act of 1925, as amended.
