Contractor shall remove existing two layers of roof shingles and flashing down to wood decking on all facets of the Town Hall. Re nail any loose decking, replace any rotten decking at an added price per sheet. Install f8 white aluminum drip edge on eaves and rakes. Install six ft. of IKO Stormguard ice and water shield or equivalent on all bottom edges of roof and cover remainder with IKO Stormtite synthetic roof underlayment or equivalent. All step flashing at wall intersections shall be minimum .018" thickness new white aluminum and all plumbing vent flashing shall be new. New shingles shall be 40 year limited-lifetime IKO Dynasty Performance architectural shingles in color Castle Grey or equivalent. Price shall includes all labor, materials, permits needed and removal of all roofing debris from the property. Possible trim work needed. Questions pertaining to the bid will be accepted until Wednesday, August 16, 2023 2:00 pm. All questions are to be emailed to the Chief Procurement Officer Mary Brazie at tegremont@egremont-ma.gov. Bidder selection, procedures and contract awards shall be in conformity with M.G.L. Chapter 30 Section 39M. State mandated prevailing wage rates must be paid according to M.G.L. Chapter 149 sections 26-27H. A bid security deposit in the form of a bid bond, cash or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price must accompany the bid. A 50% Payment Bond is required and must accompany the bid. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, should it be deemed in the Town's interest to do so.
