The Awarded bidder will have 2 weeks to complete this project and provide Allegheny County a material list. Allegheny County will provide all materials needed to complete this project. The purpose of this project is to bypass the hot water storage tank at the Kane Glen Hazel Care Facility on the mezzanine that feeds 140-degree hot water to the kitchen. To accomplish this, a 1 1/2 " L copper water line will tie into the new building hot water storage tanks located on the mechanical room floor. This 1 1/2 " line will run from the new storage tanks and tie into the existing 1 1/2 " kitchen hot water line eliminating the need for the existing storage tank on the mezzanine. There will also be a 1 1/4 " hot water return line added in parallel to the 1 1/2 " hot water feed line. Hangers and piping can be installed during regular 7am - 5pm working hours. The circulation pump and all electrical work will be provided by Allegheny County Facilities Management. The water tie-ins will be coordinated on facilities off hours. County Plumbers and County Electricians will be on site to provide water shutdowns and electric shutdowns for the tie-ins. PERIOD OF CONTRACT: Fourteen (14) Days from the Notice to Proceed Question Deadline 07/28/2023 at 11:30 AM ET The Division of Purchasing and Supplies, reserves the right, upon notice to the supplier, to extend the Contract or any part of the Contract for up to three (3) months, upon the same terms and conditions after the indicated expiration date as described in the Contract. This will be utilized to prevent a lapse in Contract coverage for the goods or services indicated on the Contract, and only for the time necessary to enter into a new Contract. When applicable, an extension notice will be issued defining the exact extension of the Contract; all other terms and conditions of the extended Contract will remain in full force and effect. The County retains the right to terminate any contract(s) resulting from this solicitation upon thirty (30) days written notice. The County reserves the right to reject any and all quotes, also the right to waive any minor discrepancies in the quotes when deemed to be in the best interest of the County. The County reserves the right to acquire more, less, or none at all of the quantities stated throughout the life of the contract.
