1. Replace approximately 3,886 existing water meters with new Parish-provided Badger water meters and install and program the Aclara MTUs to be read through the Parishs existing AMI system. Any existing 1.5 meters will be replaced with 2 meters. Any existing 3 meters will be replaced with 4 meters. All additional materials required for these conversions shall be provided by the proposer. Items are included in the pricing table for these conversions. The MTUs shall be attached to the meter box lid with stainless steel screws. The proposer shall supply the stainless steel screws and shall be included in the MTU installation item. 2. Replace any non-working curb stop or gate valves on the owner side of the water meter. 3. Replace broken meter boxes and/or lids as required. If only meter box lid is broken, the lid only shall be replaced. All cast iron or concrete meter boxes within grass or dirt shall be replaced with a new plastic meter box. Any cast iron meter or concrete box within a driveway shall remain and an external through the lid MTU antenna shall be installed with mounting bracket. Picture documentation shall be provided to show that existing meter box and/or lid is broken prior to any work being completed. St. John the Baptist Parish Council will receive Proposals for the project described as follows: Installation of Water Meters and Meter Interface Units (MTUs) St. John the Baptist Parish (herein referred to as the Parish) hereby issues a Request for Proposals (RFP) for qualified companies (herein referred to as Company) for Backflow Prevention Services. The Parish reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals and to waive any irregularities or informalities incidental thereto, and to accept any proposal, which the Parish feels serves its best interest. Such action will be in accordance with Title 38 of the Louisiana Revised Statues.
