The Owner reserves the right to reject any proposal if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such Offeror fails to satisfy the Owner that such Offeror is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the contract and to complete the work contemplated therein. Unless otherwise provided in the Contract Documents, the Contractor shall secure and pay for all permits, licenses, and inspections necessary for proper execution and completion of the Work, and which are legally required at the time bids are received. Permits required by the City of Pearland will be issued as a NO FEE permit. The prevailing wage rates applicable to this Project shall be either Document 00811 -- Wage Scale for Engineering Construction, or Document 00813 -- Wage Scale for Building Construction, or both, as set out in the Project Manual. Building Construction Services, New (Includes Maintenance and Repair Services) Construction Services, General (Includes Maintenance and Repair Services) Construction Services, Heavy (Includes Maintenance and Repair Services) Construction Services, Trade (New Construction) The project will entail a new lawn equipment storage building at the City of Pearland Centennial Park. Bid Security in the form of Cashier's Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond payable to the City of Pearland in the amount of 5% of the total bid price must accompany each proposal. Offerors submitting Proposals electronically through the E-bid System shall scan and up-load a copy of the sealed Bid Bond as an attachment to their bid. The successful Offeror must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds as required by Chapter 2253 of the Texas Government Code or other applicable law, as amended, upon the form included in the Contract Documents, in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the final contract price, such bonds are to be executed by a corporate surety duly authorized to do business in the State of Texas, and named in the current list of "Treasury Department Circular No. 570", naming the City of Pearland, Texas as Obligee. Additionally, the successful Offeror shall be required to provide a one year Maintenance Bond for the improvements installed as part of this work, as provided in the Special Conditions of Agreement if so stated. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for this project is 0%. The Small Business Enterprise (SBE) goal for this project is 0%. DBEs and SBEs selected must be TxDOT approved. Race neutral participation is encouraged and can be achieved through various supplier and subcontracting opportunities. CONTRACT TIME : 210 Days Project No. AHA22-077-00
