3rd and 10th Street Mill and Resurface and ADA CDBG Janes Street This project is fully or partially funded with Community Development Block Grant funds. Rehabilitation of multiple location on the Eastside of Saginaw with pavement removal, cold milling, earthwork, aggregate base, misc curb and gutter, HMA paving, sidewalks, ADA sidewalk ramps and restoration. Pre-Bid Meeting Date: N/A It is the intent of the City, unless otherwise specified, that work on any contract awarded under the advertisement, to be started no later than Thirty (30) calendar days after award of the contract or the date specified in the contract documents, and that the work shall be carried on with due diligence, at such points and at such times and seasons, and with such force and in such manner as to secure its completion on or before the completion date as specified in the advertisement or as determined by the proposal or construction schedule, submitted by the Contractor Bid Bond: Required if total of all is over $100,000 An original bid bond, bank money order, certified check or cashiers check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount bid must be submitted with any bid in excess of $100,000. The AIA Document A310 - 2010 bid bond is the preferred format. If agreement is for multiple years, each year should be combined to get your total cost. Facsimiles or copies of bid bond will not be accepted and bid will be disqualified if submitted. Each Bid Must Be Enclosed in a Separate Sealed Envelope With Sealed Bid and the Bid Number Marked on the Front. A Copy of the Original Bid Must Also Be Included in the Bid The City Reserves the Right to Accept or Reject Any and All Bids, or Parts Thereof, and to Waive Any Irregularities Which Do Not Materially Affect the Bid Document or Otherwise Conflict With Statute or Ordinance. Any Rejection of Bids Shall Be Made Only if There is a Sound Documented Reason for Same. The bidder shall thoroughly examine and familiarize themselves with the drawings, specifications, and all other contract documents. The Contractor by the execution of the contract shall in no way be relieved of any obligation under it due to their failure to receive or examine any form or legal instrument or to visit the site and acquaint themselves with the conditions there existing. The City of Saginaw will be justified in rejecting any claim based on facts regarding which he should have been on notice as a result thereof Direct any questions to Travis J.
